Prowl III

CAMP TAJI, Iraq –
Spc. Jon Bothke, a native of Lancaster, Calif.,
establishes security at a building after Soldiers
identified an improvised explosive device in the Taji
Qada, northwest of Baghdad, July 6, during Operation
Gunslinger Prowl III, an operation aimed to disrupt
terrorist activity in the area. Bothke is an infantryman
assigned to the Company A, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry
Regiment “Wolfhounds,” 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team
“Warrior,” 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National
